What we do

The Plaza Midwood Merchants Association works to encourage community and collaboration among businesses along the Central Avenue corridor. We believe strongly, and have proven, that we can accomplish great things when we work together. However, with your help, we can do so much more! Improving communication, identifying and generating public support for community initiatives, and preserving the rich diversity, soul, and character of Plaza Midwood are our top priorities.

We recognize that Charlotte is changing. Commercial construction, automobile traffic, and population are all on the rise as we work to maintain a clean, safe and walkable business district. Our partnerships with the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association (PMNA), Stroll and Roll Plaza Midwood, Charlotte Housing and Neighborhood Services and the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) have assisted us in addressing these challenges.
